There is a growing trend in the UK for businesses to participate in
‘industry’ sailing race events. The competition is fierce, the
advertising prolific, the rewards high.
A booming example is the Little Britain Challenge Cup – an event
exclusively for the building and architectural industries, with a regular
entry level of over 300 companies, and an incredible 2500 people sailing. A
huge marquis is set up in Cowes Yacht Haven, offering participants the
opportunity to meet and network with other related companies, and of
course, find out what the competition is up to.
There are many other regattas, covering most industries. We can take care
of all aspects of your entries, plus arrange spectator and rigid inflatable
boats to complement your involvement. There are options for most budgets.
Can you afford not to be represented?
If there isn’t yet a regatta for your specific industry, what better way
to make your mark than to set one up. Or simply set up a regatta for your
own company, and/or a select band of competitors. Come and talk to us to
charter a yacht or set up an event and beat your competitors!
Set up your own event
If your industry is not yet represented in the multitude of inter-industry
regattas, come and talk to us .
We have considerable experience in the organisation and management of
corporate events – ranging from a single day’s racing in the Solent, to
cross channel rallies and fund-raising regattas for charity. We can set up
and organise a regatta for you and your industry competitors.
Get in there quick, and the regatta can sport your company’s name, like
the Bank of England managed with their event!
Spectator boat
For those not wanting to sail, or those who just want to watch an exciting
day on the water, a spectator boat is the perfect solution. Treat your
guests to a luxurious, relaxing day – making the most of the onboard
catering and the expertise of our professional skippers and delightful
hostesses. A superb way to enjoy a day’s racing in style.
Support RIB
For those that wish to get closer to the action, a rigid inflatable boat
(RIB) is an exhilarating alternative to the luxurious spectator yacht.
The RIB can safely and quickly get in and out of the racing fleet,
positioning itself so that you and your guests can watch the finer racing
points. It’s also a useful addition to any event – it can be on hand
for any requirement from collecting guests from the yachts, to carrying
your company battle flag!
